Jedd Jong is a freelance film critic and writer who has written for publications including F*** Movie Magazine, inSing, KrisWorld and Catchplay+. He has written film reviews and feature articles, and has covered movie premieres, press junkets and comic conventions.
Jedd has interviewed actors and filmmakers including Tom Hanks, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jackie Chan, Emma Stone, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Yeoh, Darren Aronofsky, George Lucas and John Woo.
As “Jedi the Movie Guy”, Jedd was a regular guest on the radio station Kiss 92 FM. Jedd has also spoken at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the Singapore University of Social Sciences, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has been a Film Studies guest lecturer. Films that heavily featured special and visual effects, including the Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Terminator and Back to the Future movies, were instrumental in igniting Jedd’s lifelong interest in film. In his spare time, Jedd enjoys creating custom action figures.
